DAFI brings design and making together
Our work begins with furniture: its form, proportions, structure, materials and the way it is intended to be experienced. We develop upholstered furniture for contemporary interiors, from sofas and modular seating systems to lounge pieces, armchairs and beds, alongside solutions for contract and hospitality environments.
Making is an integral part of the process. Our vertically integrated production keeps design and manufacturing closely connected, with a direct understanding of construction, materials and upholstery at every stage. Beech wood forms the basis of many of our internal frames, while contemporary materials and production methods open the way to new forms, functions and expressions.
THE SHAPE OF CHANGE
Our collections are designed with flexibility in mind. Selected pieces incorporate movable or adjustable elements, while dimensions, configurations, materials and finishes can be adapted to the requirements of a space or project. This allows a design to retain its identity while responding to different ways of living and different environments.
